About South Seas Ministries™
Our Mission
To bring the Word of God to life through faithful Bible stories and verse-by-verse teaching, and to share His love in practical ways with churches and families in need.
South Seas Ministries began on an island in the South Pacific, with a simple desire: to help people know God through His Word. We tell the stories of the Bible in a natural, heartfelt way, and we teach through Scripture verse by verse, as we learned in the Calvary Chapel tradition. As the Lord provides, we also stand with churches and families in need, here and overseas, so that His love is shown in deed as well as word.
Our Work Today
Here is where things stand. We share it openly, so you can see what the Lord has placed in our hands, and pray with us for what is still ahead.

What Guides Us
- God's Word first.
- We teach the Bible as it is written, simply and clearly, in the Calvary Chapel tradition.
- Grace and warmth.
- We speak as a pastor speaks to family: honest, gentle and encouraging.
- Serving as a team.
- No one does this work alone. We serve together, each with our own gifts, and we welcome those the Lord sends to labor alongside us.
- Faithful stewardship.
- Every gift is handled with care, prayer and accountability.
- Love in action.
- As the Lord provides, we help those in need, near and far.

How Our Content Is Made
Every story and teaching at South Seas Ministries is written and shaped by Grant, with the help of AI writing tools. Each one is carefully reviewed against Scripture and our doctrinal standards before it is shared. The tools help with the work. The Word, and the care behind it, stay the same.
Statement of Faith
- God's Word
- The Bible is God speaking to us. Every word of the Old and New Testaments is inspired by Him and true in all it teaches, and it is the ground we stand on. Whenever questions arise, we return to the Word for our answers.
- One God
- There is one God, eternal and unchanging, who has made Himself known to us as the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit, three Persons who together are one God.
- Jesus
- Jesus is God the Son, who stepped into our world as a man. He was born of a virgin, lived a life without sin, and gave Himself on the cross to pay for our sins. On the third day He rose bodily from the grave, and today He is seated at the right hand of the Father, where He continues to pray for us.
- Grace
- No one can earn their way to God, whether by good works, by keeping the law, or by trying harder. Salvation is a gift, given freely by God's grace and received by trusting in Jesus alone. Everyone who comes to Him is forgiven, made new, and given life that never ends.
- The Holy Spirit
- The Spirit of God lives in everyone who belongs to Jesus, comforting us, guiding us, and giving us the strength to live for Him. His gifts are still at work in the church today, given in love to build one another up, and always used in good order.
- The Church
- The church is not a building but the family of everyone who trusts in Jesus. We come together to worship, to open the Word, to pray, to share the Lord's Supper, and to carry one another's burdens. We follow the Lord in baptism by immersion as a public picture of our new life in Him.
- Living for Him
- Following Jesus changes the way we live. We are called to love God with all that we are, to love the people around us, to keep growing in Him, and to share the good news wherever He leads us, in both word and deed.
- His Return
- Jesus is coming back. He will gather His church to Himself, and one day He will return in glory to reign. Until that day, we live with hope, keeping our eyes on the horizon and our hearts ready for Him.
- Forever
- One day all people will be raised, those who belong to Christ to live with Him forever, and those who have turned away from Him to everlasting separation from God.
